Heads up, all you shoppers who schedule yearly trips to Bangkok for a weekend of retail therapy. Now you can shop for some of the same stuff from the comfort of your home, thanks to a new online platform that highlights indie brands from popular Thai markets such as Artbox, TGIF (Thank God It’s Flea) Market, and Chatuchak. (That is, unless the experience of strolling down the bustling streets of Bangkok and haggling for trinkets is what appeals most to you.)

After launching in October last year, ShopJJ has amassed about 50 Thai brands on its platform, such as Mink is Love, Chamniii, Madmatter, Vavavala, and Embroiderer Bangkok. On the site, you’ll find clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories, with price tags starting from US$2 (S$2.60). Highlights include leather shoes by Brown Stone, wooden accessories by Gleamwood, intricate jewelry pieces by Mizuchol, and classy leather bags by The Sleeveless Garden.

For those keen on bulk orders, you also make wholesale purchases and customize them, which could possibly come in handy for corporate gifts or wedding favors. – COCONUTS SG
